Base Preparation and Levelling
The base is cleaned, repaired and levelled so the new floor lies flat and lasts.

Floors laid and the finishing touches completed so the job looks done
In Brief
Flooring and finishing is the last stage of a renovation: new floors laid on a prepared base, then skirting, thresholds, edge trims and painting touch-ups completed so the space looks finished. Getting the sequence right matters, because floors are easy to damage if other trades work over them afterwards.
The floor is one of the biggest visual changes in a renovation, and one of the easiest things to spoil. A floor laid before the walls are painted gets splashed; one laid on an uneven base shows every dip. The finishing details, such as skirting boards, thresholds between rooms and trims at edges, are what make a floor look intentional and finished instead of half done.
We prepare and level the base, lay the floor you have chosen, whether tile, laminate or another type, then fit skirting, thresholds and trims, and make good any paint touch-ups. In larger projects flooring is sequenced after walls, ceilings and most painting so it is not damaged, and protected until handover. Tile floors are described in floor tile installation. This is part of our renovation and fit-out service, with final painting by our painting team.

Skirting boards and edge trims are fitted, cut neatly to corners and doorways.
Thresholds between rooms and between different floor types are fitted so the changes are tidy and safe.
Paint and plaster touch-ups are completed around the new floor, so edges and corners look finished.
The new floor is protected during the remaining work and checked at the final walkthrough.
