Repair or Replace Advice
We look at the unit and tell you honestly whether repair is worthwhile or replacement makes more sense.

Old unit out, new unit in, with the existing pipework checked and reused where suitable
In Brief
AC replacement is removing an old air conditioner and fitting a new one in its place. We take out the old units and dispose of them responsibly, check whether the existing pipework, drain and wiring can be reused, fit the new unit and test the cooling.
Air conditioners wear out. A unit that is old, keeps breaking down or costs more to repair than it is worth is a good candidate for replacement. Because the new unit goes where the old one was, much of the work is already in place: the wall mounting, the pipe route and the drain. The key job is checking those parts are still suitable, because old pipework and a worn drain can cause problems with a new unit.
If your old unit can be repaired economically, we will say so, and our AC repair team will look at it first. Where replacement is the better route, we remove the old unit and dispose of it responsibly, inspect the pipes and drain, fit the new unit and test the cooling. For a room that never had AC, see new split AC installation.
