Pressure Testing at the Supply
We measure pressure where water enters the property and compare it with what reaches taps and showers.

Low or excessive water pressure traced and corrected
In Brief
Water pressure correction means finding why water pressure at your taps and showers is too low or too high, and fixing the cause. Low pressure usually comes from blocked fittings, partly closed valves or scaled pipes. High pressure is controlled with a pressure-reducing valve and protects fittings and appliances.
Weak water flow from one tap is often a blocked aerator or a partly closed valve. Weak flow from every tap points to something further back: a faulty valve, scaled pipework, a pump or the supply to your building. Pressure that is too high is just as troublesome, causing noisy pipes, dripping taps and early failure of mixers, hoses and appliances.
We check pressure at the main supply and at several outlets to find where it drops, then fix what is in your property: clean or replace blocked fittings, open or replace valves, install or adjust a pressure-reducing valve, or repair pipes that restrict flow. In some buildings water passes through shared tanks and booster pumps, and if the fault lies on that side we will tell you so you can raise it with building management. This work belongs to our plumbing service, and leaks that cause pressure loss are covered by leak detection.

We measure pressure where water enters the property and compare it with what reaches taps and showers.
Aerators, shower heads and filters clogged with scale or debris are cleaned or replaced.
Partly closed, seized or faulty valves are opened, repaired or replaced where they restrict flow.
Where pressure is too high, we fit or adjust a pressure-reducing valve to bring it to a safe working level.
We look for narrowed, scaled or damaged pipes that restrict flow and advise on repair or replacement.
Pressure is measured again after the work so you can see the difference.
Tell us which taps or showers are affected, at what times, and whether pipes make noise.
We take pressure readings at the supply and at the outlets to find where the pressure changes.
We clean, repair or replace the fitting, valve or pipe responsible, or fit a pressure-reducing valve.
Pressure is checked again at the supply and outlets, and we explain what was found.
Every property is different, so we confirm the price before any work starts. These are the things that most often change the time and cost.
Usually a blocked aerator, a clogged shower head or a partly closed isolating valve at that fitting. Cleaning or replacing the part often fixes it.
It can be a restriction in your main pipework, a faulty valve, or an issue with the supply to the building. We measure at the supply to find out which.
Yes. Too much pressure causes noisy pipes, dripping taps and early wear of fittings and appliances. A pressure-reducing valve brings it back to a safe level.
It can. If a leak is suspected, our leak detection team traces it.
We check your property first, and if the fault lies with the building's supply, such as shared tanks or pumps, we tell you so you can raise it with building management.
